"First Annual Brown County Bicycle Fest"
JUNE 16 & 17, 2001
The first Annual Brown County Bicycle Fest, featuring LOCO XC Mountain Bike Race and Charity was held at the Valley Branch Retreat in Nashville, IN June 16 & 17. Participating charitable groups will include:Arvin Meritor employees, Cummins and Lilly.
Riders are invited to join this event that caters to both the road and mountian bike enthusiast! Riders may tour the scenic back roads of Brown County or ride over 20 miles of open mountain bike trails. There will be a LOCO bike race held on Sunday, June 17, along with Charity 5-Man Speedball and Scenario Paintball Games all weekend long. Valley Branch Retreat will also offer a Father's Day discount on paintball for June 16 and 17.
Nashville shops and flea markets abound only minutes away! Live music will be provided Saturday night.
A $5 entry fee, which will be donated to the Brown County Community Foundation,
includes the live music Saturday Night. Racers will pay $3 to ride on Saturday,
or free if they camp one night.
On-site camping and camp cabins are available for large or small groups. Cabins are air conditioned and heated. Camping is also available for up to four people at $18 a night for primitive campsites, or $22 a night for full hook-up sites.
